Clear terms before the first day.
The agreement should answer the difficult questions while both parties can still choose whether to work together.
Is the trial unpaid?
No. New Bench engagements require a positive cash fee, sales commission, or both. The exact compensation must fit the actual working relationship and applicable law. A commission arrangement does not automatically establish independent-contractor status.
When does work start?
When the invited counterpart accepts the exact saved offer. Pending offers expire after 14 days. The default paid trial is 45 days; the recorded offer states the actual duration.
Does a KPI grant equity?
No. Performance goals track results. A separate cofounder grant can be recorded after the trial, with a signed instrument, approvals, explicit units, a vesting schedule, and both parties' agreement.
What happens when someone leaves?
Future work and new deal registration stop. Accrued compensation remains payable and pre-exit deals follow the agreed collection tail. Existing equity follows its signed instrument; it does not automatically become commission or disappear.
Can figures be corrected?
Open weekly entries can be updated, with saved revisions. Closed weeks remain read-only. Compensation disputes and resolutions preserve prior evidence. A figure in the weekly log alone is not payment confirmation.
Are agreements signed here?
The platform records acceptance of an exact commercial offer and preserves its terms. Public previews are drafting references and do not create or amend engagements. Equity instruments and company approvals must be completed separately. Obtain Philippine advice for the actual relationship.
Who can see my engagement?
The builder, counterpart, and authorized administrators. Private chat uses the same participant boundary. Investor status alone does not unlock private records. Read the privacy notice for data handling and your rights.
Does Counterpart move money?
No. The parties pay externally. The builder records a payment reference and the counterpart confirms receipt. Contact support@counterpart.ph for account or review assistance.
