Counterpart

Your information on Counterpart.

Effective 18 September 2026. Counterpart is the platform responsible for the personal information described here. Contact support@counterpart.ph for privacy requests or questions. The platform operates from Quezon City, Philippines.

What we collect

Account name, email, password hash, account roles, verification status, applications and proof links, engagement terms, weekly records, chat, compensation evidence, payment references, review cases, and technical security records. Do not upload passwords, unnecessary identity documents, or third-party personal information without authority.

Why we use it

We use necessary information to operate your account, process applications and accepted agreements, keep engagement records, deliver service notifications, investigate disputes, and secure the platform. These activities support the service you request and legitimate security and recordkeeping needs; other processing may require consent or a legal obligation. The platform calculates contractual compensation and performance summaries but does not make legal share issuances automatically.

Who can see it

Published venture and job information is public. Application information is shared with the relevant role manager. Engagement records and private chat are accessible to the parties and authorized administrators. Investor status alone does not grant access. Evidence links may have their own access permissions; use private links for sensitive records.

Service providers

Hosting, storage, email, and real-time delivery use providers including Vercel, Northflank, Neon, Cloudflare R2, Upstash, Ably, and ZeptoMail. Processing may occur outside the Philippines. Optional identity verification, when enabled, uses Didit under a separate provider flow; it is not required for ordinary account use. Email verification is a separate account-security step.

Retention and security

We retain information while necessary to deliver the service, preserve accepted agreements and financial evidence, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Requests to close an account or delete data are reviewed against those needs; financial history is not silently erased. Access controls, password hashing, and revocable sessions help protect data. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, account closure, deletion where applicable, or information about processing by contacting support@counterpart.ph. We may need proportionate verification before acting. You may also raise a complaint with the Philippine National Privacy Commission. Service cookies maintain your signed-in session; the platform does not sell your personal information.
